Poetry

Paroled

Blazing sunshine peels away

A stubborn blanket of snow

Blades of emerald green lay

Shimmering in the warm glow

Again green grass is risen

Like souls reclaimed from the dead

Paroled from frozen prison

Summer’s freedom lies ahead
